What is Urban Inc?

BACKGROUND AND PHILOSOPHY
Urban Inc. was established in March 2005 and is a consultancy of Urban Specialists who have been engaged in Urban Renewal, Urban Open Space Upgrade and Urban Development since 1992. Urban Inc is engaged by public and private sector interests in the preparation of development plans which are implementable, combining a variety of skills necessary to create successful urban places and experiences.
Our aim is to improve the liveability and sustainability of the urban environment.
OUR PROFILE
Urban Inc. consists of a core team of professional practitioners with the vision to realise urban opportunities. We have key strategic partnerships and often create larger collaborative teams tailored towards specific projects. Urban Inc’s team has a successful track record in delivering achievable solutions for both private and public sector clients, having worked throughout Southern and Central Africa as well as drawing from work experience in South America, Europe and the United States.
The work that Urban Inc. undertakes generally falls into five broad categories:
1. Catalysts of urban upgrade and urban management initiatives - bringing together Urban Professionals, Public sector, Private sector and Community Stakeholders
2. City Visioning, Strategy and Policy development 
3. Implementation & Project Management - implementing proposals. Practical experience ensures a
pragmatic approach 
4. Conservation and redevelopment of Heritage Buildings - physical upgrade and new use for buildings with
Heritage value 
5. Research and knowledge sharing - on a wide range of urban issues and initiatives
